My background is in photojournalism and portraiture – the perfect match for a mix of natural wedding photography combined with gorgeous portraits of the two of you.

As a photojournalist I have spent many years shooting news and features assignments worldwide for The Times, including the war zones in Iraq and Afghanistan.
As a portrait photographer I have been commissioned to photograph notable MPs for the House of Commons Art Collection. Other portrait commissions have included Bill Gates, Nicole Kidman, Elle Macpherson and loads of others!

Many wedding photographers offer 'reportage style' photography; but my photography is true reportage - a way of seeing events that only comes from the experience of thousands of assignments often in challenging situations and to tight deadlines, when there is no option but to send back a great picture – no excuses.

At a wedding it means the confidence to document the day as it naturally unfolds, telling the story and capturing the emotion without having to create cheesy set-ups and not asking you to pose every two minutes. My pictures of your wedding will be a record of your day as it happened – not a record of all the silly things the photographer asked you to do!

For a short time in the day I’ll take you off for a little wander. It’s actually a nice opportunity to have a quiet moment together, probably your first minutes alone as a married couple. I’ll photograph some relaxed portraits with you both chatting and laughing together, and I'll be quick so you can get back to your guests. There are usually some group photos are too. Nobody likes hanging around for ages so I’ll do it quickly and make it fun so everyone can get back to the party.

I never forget that it is a privilege to be involved in your day, as well as a huge responsibility, but even though I'm working hard, I'm enjoying myself too!
