Our website is designed to make it fast and easy to browse through our photographers by location, although many are willing to travel to your venue.  

Our Story

When Louise and I were planning our wedding, I took on the task of finding a wedding photographer.  Easy, I thought!  I’m a professional photographer, I know what works, I know what I’m looking for, how difficult can it be?  Well pretty difficult it turns out!

I started off with the usual search engines and wedding directories but soon found I was having to trawl through every wedding photographers’ website as there was no quality control.  After weeks of searching, I was still not convinced I had found the right photographer and would stumble upon fantastic photographers, only to discover they were already booked up or couldn’t make it up to our Scottish wedding venue.  If I found it challenging as a professional photographer, I was sure that I wasn’t the only one! 

As the wedding drew closer, and my nerves grew ever more frayed I realised what I really needed was a website that could do the hard work for me.  A website where a professional photographer had already researched very best wedding photographers for me and provided a hand-picked list showcasing their work across a wide range of locations.  And so Wonderland Avenue was born!

Together with my wife Louise and the rest of the WA team, we follow hundreds of wedding magazines, websites and blogs so we can keep up with the UK’s most important photographers.

James has over 20 years experience as a commercial photographer shooting advertising campaigns in the UK and all over the world.  He understands what it takes to produce a breathtaking image and applies his knowledge and experience to handpick only the very best wedding photographers the UK has to offer.
